Mongra Bareth’s journey as a VLE started when she became part of CSC in 2014. Before that, she used to teach Hindi Literature at a local college. It is during that time she noticed that people are not getting full access of digital services in her area. She then decided to open up a center in collaboration with CSC which could prove to be beneficial for the community and they can easily access digital services like online money transfer, pan card application, and other Government and non-government schemes. As a result, all of her efforts and determination to help others really transformed the lives of the underserved people.
Digital Beti Program trained Mongra to create her facebook account and how to do online marketing to expand the business. She is promoting her center through facebook, even during lockdown she used her page to connect with large audience and provide them online services. She also facilitated digital services to elder people in her village. She says, “Life wasn’t that easy before as it is now for the village people.”
